WALKER-MILLER ENERGY/COM ED

Visual Designer (Contract)

Walker-Miller Energy Services brought me in as their primary contract designer to support their marketing partnership with ComEd. My job was to create visual content that worked across both brands, reinforcing their identities while making complex energy efficiency programs feel clear, relevant, and worth acting on.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Campaign & Marketing Design: Created branded assets for community outreach programs, promotional campaigns, and event materials; everything from digital graphics to print-ready collateral.

Packaging Design: Designed retail packaging for energy-efficient products distributed through the ComEd program. The challenge was to communicate sustainability and real consumer value in a tight format. Clean, strategic design helped these products stand out on shelves and make the case for choosing energy-efficient options.

Digital & Internal Communications: Maintained a consistent visual presence across social channels and developed internal communications that helped drive program adoption and team alignment across both organizations.

IMPACT:

Energy efficiency programs can be a hard sell, the benefits are real, but they're not always obvious. Good design changed that. By making the messaging clear and the visuals compelling, I helped Walker-Miller and ComEd connect with communities in a way that felt credible and approachable. The result was a cohesive visual presence across print and digital that elevated both brands and gave their shared mission a face people could trust.
